Who is Dr. Sheila C. Carpenter, tell us something about you?
Dr. Carpenter: I am the author of The Christian
Walk! I am Dr. Sheila C. Carpenter I am a graduate of Cincinnati Bible
College and Seminary. I have obtained a doctorate from LaSalle University.
Dr. Carpenter has studied in Egypt and has completed missionary work
in Japan. She provides psychological counseling services to inner-city
youth and adolescents in Cleveland, Ohio. She has worked with the urban
gang population, juvenile delinquents, as well as serviced individuals
with psychiatric and chemical dependency disorders. Dr. Carpenter serves
as a mediator and Rape Counselor. She is currently certified as a hypnotherapist.
She lives in the suburban area of Cleveland, Ohio where she continues
to serve and counsel a host of individuals whose needs encompass the
use of her gifts and talents.

Where are you from, and currently residing?
Dr. Carpenter: I was born and raised in
Cleveland, Ohio and I reside in the suburban area of Cleveland, Ohio.

Are there any other writers in the family?
Dr. Carpenter: Yes, my husband and my twin
sister.
THE ROCK: What prepared you to become an author?
Dr. Carpenter: Writing a lot of term papers,
for my education.

What inspired you to become a writer?
Dr. Carpenter: The love of God!

What inspired you to write your book?
Dr. Carpenter: Writing to clear up myths.
About Biblical Principals and doing missionary work overseas in Egypt
and Japan. And, Just being a Christian.

Tell us about your newest creation. What is the premise?
Dr. Carpenter: God How Great thou Are!
Addressing the fundamentals of God's being and His Characteristics,
and His return.

Dr. Carpenter: Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever self-published? Why or why not?
Dr. Carpenter: Never Self-Published, I'll
just say it's not for me.(Smiles)

Dr. Carpenter: Great Material, A Great
Plot, Direction, And something individuals can ponder on.

Dr. Carpenter: Christianity because I.

publisher" important professionally? Why?
Dr. Carpenter: Of-Course, having a publishing
contract with a "traditional publisher" is important because,
It puts you right into the big league, and society takes you more serious
when you are publish traditionally.

What are some of your professional and Personal achievements?
Dr. Carpenter:
Dr. Carpenter has received the "Best Nonfiction Award" for
her book The Christian Walk: The Struggle to Remain on the Path at the
Midwest Christian book Fair in Coralville, Iowa. She also recieved the
"Christian Author Award" at the Memphis Black Writers Conference
earlier this year.
Dr. Carpenter has recently been featured
in many newspapers including Cleveland's Sun News and The North Royalton
