& President of Royce Enterprises, Inc.
"I want to leave something for the future generation," says Royce Sampson, the President and CEO of Royce Enterprises, Inc. This dynamic small publishing business is headed by Royce Sampson along with his two sons, Jerrold and Michael. It has been an intriguing ten years in the making for Royce Enterprises, Inc., and his vision is just starting to come into existence. In 1993, a series of events led to the forming of three minds to bring into reality the brainchild known as Royce Enterprises, Inc. At the time, Royce Sampson was deeply involved as a community organizer and formed a youth organization. He had worked in printing for over 30 years which enabled his two sons a few years prior to gain invaluable training in the publishing and printing arena. Jerrold Sampson was working as a freelance writer for a local newspaper in Baltimore, and Michael Sampson started to work along with his father in the youth program. He also was considering working in circulation for the same company as his brother. "A friend of mine mentioned to me as to why we would work for another newspaper, when we had the knowledge and skills to do our own," says Michael. Jerrold enthusiastically states, "We started to see the whole picture!" The three got together and incorporated what each was involved in and formed a youth-oriented newspaper called THE ROCK. Out of Royce Enterprises, Inc., a subsidiary was born called Rock Publications. Rock Publications specializes in book publishing, desktop publishing, web site development and consulting. THE ROCK newspaper has now grown into an on-line newsmagazine. "We are definitely a family-owned and operated business," states Royce Sampson. "We hope that small businesses in Maryland, Delaware, DC and Virginia embrace this publication," states Jerrold. Royce Enterprises, Inc. continues to be dedicated to outstanding customer service and satisfaction. For more information, you can visit them at www.rockpublications.com.
