A tear slides down the left side of my face
When I think of you
I feel the connective tissue to my heart strengthen
Your existance like no other's,
Has embraced my soul in ways
Only heaven knows
While simply looking in to your precious eyes
I become lost in the actual vision
Of inexhaustable beauty
Such a blessing you are
To my simple life
Motivation
Purpose
Love
Kindness
It brings me to my knees
As my eyelids fail me
And the dams break
Unleashing tears, sobful tears
From this persistant memory
Of me
Almost not having you
So ashamed of myselt at that moment
And right now too
But my dear God, He and only He knows
I love you, but at the that time
I honestly thought that was the best thing to do
But no
I couldn't do it
I didn't do it
My heart was in ruins, crushed and in shambles
And I am so thankful
Sweet little lady, I love you so
You are a treasure
Of diamonds, silver, platinum, and gold
I would gladly give my life for you
My sweet baby princess
My lifeline
My daughter
I love you.

He was a handsome guy
In a rugged sorta way
Didn't have much money
Or
Much of anything for that matter
He was born with cocain in his veins
And a poverty stricken brain.
I remember one time
He stole the teacher's purse
Mrs. Davis
I didn't quite understand back then, but
I guess all he wanted was
To look like everyone else
To eat like everyone else
To have lights on like everyone else
Just to live
Like everyone else.
I made it to high school
But the streets grabbed a hold of him and wouldn't let go
Even though
He could've been so much more
If he hadn't been born
A poor second generation crack head
Strangled by the streets
And shot by rivalry
He died sometime in 97'
I think about him all the time though
He was the first of my friends to go
My life hasn't been the same since
I understood you, T.
