An Escape into a World
I’m sitting in the noon,
The high of the day,
While the light shines bright,
There’s a peaceful still.
Searching, watching and waiting,
My mind races free,
Traveling the world,
With my favorite love.
Writing fills my heart,
A gift that’s given me,
All the honor goes,
To the highest throne.
My mind goes to a world,
Far from where I live,
Escaping all that’s real,
And everything that’s near.
I’m tranced into a world,
Ignoring all that’s near,
Speaking with the pen,
While the clay is sealed.
The pen is a lifestyle,
Mixing ink and wood,
All that I record,
Lives forevermore.
Writing is an attitude,
‘Cause all that I go through,
Exposing what I see,
Inside my inner world.
It helps me to escape,
Far above the clouds,
Looking down below,
At everything I see.
My pen speaketh knowledge,
And wisdom from above,
Speaking life to all,
Hoping they will hear.
Listen to me speak,
And what I have to say,
I understand,
All that you go through.
Life is full of pain,
Happiness and joy,
No one can escape,
The fierce fiery flames.
Everyone’s emotions,
Are handled differently,
Some uses anger,
But I spread life and joy.
Some escape through song,
Some escape through paint,
Some are entertained,
But I like to write.
When I cry,
I write,
An over flow of joy,
I write.
When anger rage inside,
I write,
When my foes attack,
I write.
Writing is hard,
Sometimes soft,
Expressing what I feel,
To worlds far away.
I write with approval,
Words that come from God,
Pure and naked truth,
The art of what I see.
When I turn to dust,
While my eyes sleeps on,
The world will understand,
The writer that once lived.

The Agony of Life
Life is funny,
Oh yes it is,
Sometimes up,
And sometimes down.
Life is a trip,
How it takes you ‘round the world,
Teaching you experience,
Whether want or not.
Life is full of agony,
My God it is,
The stresses of lifes turmoil,
Failures and fears.
Life is a beach,
A big beach I might say,
Full of disappointments,
When things don’t go our way.
Life is full of crap,
‘Cause all that we go through,
It tries to make and break us,
You’re a man or you’re a wimp.
It’s Unpredictable,
Sometimes happy, sometimes sad,
Full of good and full of mess,
That’s the way it is.
It’s unpredictable,
Full of agony,
Nothing but a beach,
Just sit and watch the waves.
Life is beautiful,
It does all balance out,
It’s all in what you make of it,
Some you win, and some you lose.
In the game of life,
You have to always try,
Even if the battle’s loss,
Don’t give up the fight.

Trial so Heavy of a Burden
When the trials of life are heavy,
The burdens get so hard,
I do not always understand,
Why I am going through.
I have been a victim,
Of many circumstances.
I’ve cried and cried oh yes I’ve cried,
‘Til tears would come no more.
I always thought I had true friend,
Who would be by my side.
But when I started going through,
They turned their backs on me.
When I reached my hands for help,
They turned and walked away.
Thats when it be came clear to me,
To put no trust in man.
When God wiped all my tears,
I got down on my knees.
To seek his face and praise his name,
I learned to trust in him.
The more I learned to seek his face,
The more God spoke to me.
He told me it will be alright,
It’s working for my good.
More times will come when things get rough,
He knows what’s best for me,
To make me stronger where I am weak,
He’s causing me to grow.
When it gets rough in your life,
Remember I testified.
That his hands stayed all over me,
He’ll do the same for you.
When the storm comes in your life,
Just depend on him.
He’ll take you to a higher plain,
If you do just what he says.
