"Essential Truths of Men"

In no particular order, these are a few things that women should understand about men. Knowledge of these facts is not guaranteed to make your life easier but at least you'll be informed.
YES! The game is more important.

Any man with a brain knows that saying this could possibly ruin his life but that's what he's thinking when he says "Of course not." During the fall, Sunday afternoons are sacred. An average man does not want to be out of the house unless he is at the game or somewhere watching the game and getting drunk. If you drag a man somewhere on game day and his friend calls his cell phone and asks, "Did you see the end of that game?" you'll be dealing with a man that could snap at any minute. Just to be safe, you may want to eat finger food for dinner that night to keep him away from knives.
Allow a man to miss you sometimes.

Frankly, this is a common sense concept and I'm sure that many of you wiser ladies understand this. However, you'd be surprised how many of your colleagues are clueless when it comes to giving a man space. A smart woman not only has her own life, but encourages her man to have his own as well. Once he sees what his single friends are up against, he will only think more of you.

This is one of the funnier social dynamics between men and women. No matter what anyone says, a woman does not wear jeans or tops 2 sizes too small for the comfort. There is an obvious agenda that focuses on male attention so enjoy your audience as long as they don't do or say anything that crosses the line.

The moments leading up to this encounter can be quite taxing on a man's mind, especially one who has been fooled before in the world of the "hook-up." Saying that she's "pretty" or even worse, "nice" is not enough because we all know that men and women have different interpretations of certain words. I know that you don't want to look at a friend critically but you must keep it real. A man must know the truth so that he can dress accordingly because if he throws on a sharp outfit just to meet the crypt keeper, he will secretly never forgive you. This may sound shallow and cruel but it is the mind of a man. If you're a woman, think to yourself about a man who you find very attractive. Would you dress up more to meet him or a guy that looks like an alien? That's what I thought!
