Rock Publications (www.rockpublications.com)
is a thirteen-year old family-owned publishing company founded
and headquartered on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Rock Publications,
a subsidiary of Royce Enterprises, Inc., is the designer
of several online publications and self-published books.
We specialize in providing a high-quality and personalized
service to independent authors who are looking for growth
from a small but progressive audience. The company was designed
to service the independent author with on-hand publishing
consultation, superior publishing expertise, and to accommodate
the author during the production process.
The
Rock e-newsmagazine
www.the-rock-newsmagazine.com) is a twelve-year old publication
that was first developed as a "good news" resource
for Talbot County and Baltimore, Mayland in hard copy format.
In 2004, it was developed for the Internet to increase its
presence in the fast-expanding global marketplace. The co-publishers
saw a need to go global to support the marketing and promotion
of African-American small business owners. This business
platform serves a wider demographics to the growing needs
of African-American writers. Most Black-owned publications
can’t survive two years without substantial corporate
sponsorship.
The
co-publishers of Rock Publications
are Royce L. Sampson, Jerry Royce Sampson, and Michael R.
Sampson.
Royce
Sampson
has over 50 years of publishing and printing experience.
He has managed several departments for a Fortune 500 printing
company in Baltimore, Maryland before building his own management
company, Royce Enterprises, Inc., along with his wife, daughter,
and two sons.
Jerry
Royce Sampson
is the president and co-publisher of Rock Publications.
His visionary and innovative ideas have enabled Rock Publications
to reinvent
itself, and journey into the .COM era. Jerry majored in
corporate communications at the University of Baltimore,
and he learned first-hand how important it is to venture
into publishing online. He is also the company’s book
production & sales manager.
Michael Sampson is the editor-in-chief
of THE ROCK online newsmagazine
and the online fashion magazine. Michael's publishing experience
has helped to propel him as an expert in the field of publishing
development and corporate structure. While in college, he
worked as a customer service representative for a Baltimore-based
newspaper publisher, and learned how invaluable great customer
service is to clients. He gained his composition publishing
experience at a Baltimore-based Fortune 500 publishing &
printing company.
